Using Claude + MCP to Manage WooCommerce

Coupon management is tedious in the WooCommerce UI, especially for complex promotions. Claude makes it conversational:

Create a coupon code SUMMER26 that gives 15% off all orders over $75. Limit it to 1 use per customer, set a usage cap of 500, and make it expire on July 15, 2026.

How many times has coupon SUMMER26 been used so far? Which products were in those orders?

You can also audit existing coupons: "List all active coupons that have never been used and expire in the next 30 days."

Shipping — Rules and Zones

Shipping configuration is notoriously complex in WooCommerce. With Claude:

Add free shipping for orders over a new threshold without touching the settings UI
Create a new shipping zone for a specific country or region
List all shipping methods currently active and their rates
Temporarily disable expedited shipping during high-volume periods

Customer Insights

WooCommerce stores a lot of valuable customer data that's hard to query without a developer. Claude makes it accessible:

Find all customers who ordered more than 3 times but haven't placed an order in the last 90 days. Export their email addresses for a win-back campaign.

What's the average order value for customers who used a coupon vs. those who didn't in the last 6 months?
